The purpose of the Commercial Furniture Installation Field Supervisor is to supervise the installation crew(s) and assist with the efficient installation and reconfiguration of systems furniture within clients’ facilities delivering a high degree of customer satisfaction. They will supervise assigned installation projects to ensure proper labor allocation and timely project completion. REQUIREMENTS - US Authorized Worker (E-Verify compliant) - Background Check - High School Diploma or equivalent QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum 2 yrs of previous experience in a similar position in furniture installation while supervising crews & subs - Demonstrates effective management - Ability to work with members at all levels - Reliable transportation - Attention to detail - Extensive skill and use of power and hand tools - Knowledge of most major lines of furniture assembly and repair (can identify finishes, colors, and fabrics) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Dependable with a strong work ethic - Competent with using a computer, laptop, and / or tablet - Strength in initiative and creative thinking by recognizing opportunities or problems and empowering ideas from team members for solutions - Neat, professional appearance PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move more than 100 pounds - Climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push / pull, or balance weight for extended periods of time RESPONSIBILITIES - Proficient with installation procedures and sequence: loading, unloading, staging, trash removal, panel assembly, lock installation, electrical components, cleanup, and detailing - Repair furniture and make mechanical adjustments (drawers, slides, lock mechanisms, leveling) - Skilled in moving furniture (and other client items) from one location to another and placing furniture in the correct, requested position in the new location - Ability to plan the most efficient way to pack items into a moving truck, wrapping furniture in protective material ensuring no damage is done during transportation and taking inventory for any loss prevention - Ensure installation projects have proper labor allocations, are completed timely, and meet or exceed customer expectations - Assists with unloading and proper disposal of any waste materials in the proper receptacle or dump - Inspects the company’s trucks to maintain cleanliness - Support the training and development of quality installation professionals through direct on-site supervision and monitoring - Acts within assigned authority to follow up through field observations to make sure installation crew(s) are dressed properly, adhering to company policies, delivering excellent customer service, reporting and resolving problems arising on the way to or at a customer site - Awareness of conditions that affect employee safety, consistently behaving in a safe manner and encouraging others to do the same - Maintains solid business relationships by communicating, problem-solving and following up on a regular basis with internal partners and customers to their satisfaction - Timely invoicing of a project by understanding and following all processes, including but not limited to, completing paperwork flow from order entry to invoicing, time sheets / time entry, project activity forms, etc. on time
