Looking for female musicians for original psych-pop band

Meets

Wrightwood near Kimball, Chicago IL

Description

Hi, my name is Rob. I'm a drummer/keyboard player and teacher, 35, married. Even though I'm apprehensive to post and know that the world is weird, especially so for women, I think the all male band model is kind of played out and I'm looking to collaborate with female energy on a new project after dissolving my most current psychedelic pop band, Les Tropic (https://open.spotify.com/track/6XhvU1PUzGsalAZfz1oVGq?si=4ac9dc9b377946a3). I'd like to work with female musicians (guitar, bass, keys, etc.), and potentially a female songwriter/singer who can front a group, be professional and expressive. Doesn't have to be all female, but want a mixed gendered group to bring diverse perspectives and something original to the Chicago music scene and beyond. I have a lot of experience with booking shows, tours, managing, etc. People auditioning should have some performance experience and live in Chicago, preferably somewhere between Pilsen and Avondale. Touring and recording experience would be great as I've played in several groups, booked/played tours, played for large audiences, etc and want to collaborate with people who have as much experience as possible. Ideal age range would be 25-39 for relatability. Influences include: The Beatles, Stones, Television, Crumb, Mac DeMarco, Melody's Echo Chamber, Windows 96, Luxury Elite, Mr. Twin Sister, Arushi Jain, etc. Here are some links to prior bands: https://lestropic.bandcamp.com https://traincompany.bandcamp.com/ https://pieceofcake.bandcamp.com/ If you are interested, please send some music you've worked on and a little bit of information about your goals musically. Thanks for looking!
