CORAM, NY — A man's body was found in Coram on Wednesday morning, and Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives said he was shot. The body of Charles Barker, 48, of Brentwood, was found on the ground in front of Fillmore Court with a gunshot wound at around 6:30 a.m., police said. Barker was pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
