Join us to learn how to identify edible & medicinal mushrooms in Hawaiʻi, go on a mushroom forage & learn how to grow mushrooms in this multi-workshop course! This Workshop includes: • Introduction to Mushroom Identification online slide show presentation and Q&A. • Identifying Medicinal, Culinary, & Poisonous Mushrooms of Hawaiʻi with online slide show presentation and Q&A. • Mushroom Forage & Identification Lesson in-person. • Human Mycelial Connection Session. • Full Day of in-person Mushroom Cultivation Techniques: Log Cultivation & other Low-Tech Methods! Learn several easy ways to grow mushrooms at home! This event will take place in four sessions: 2 online online classes & 2 in-person workshop days (1-day & 2-day tickets sold for the in-person workshops. Come Saturday, Sunday, or both. Two online classes are included with all ticket purchases). • Wednesday night May 25th, 5PM - 6:30PM (Online) | Introduction to Mushroom Identification online slide show presentation and Q&A. • Thursday night May 26th, 5PM - 6:30PM (Online) | Identifying Medicinal, Culinary, & Poisonous Mushrooms of Hawaiʻi with online slide show presentation - including species we have not yet shown before - and Q&A. • Saturday May 28th, 9AM - 5PM (In-person) | Hunt for Wild Mushrooms & Identification Workshop: Saturday morning, we will go on a mushroom forage together outdoors in Haʻikū (exact location given after sign-up) in search of edible & medicinal mushrooms. After a brief lunch, Rhapsody will lead us through a human mycelial connection session. Saturday afternoon, we will help guide you through the process of how to identify the wild mushrooms of Hawaiʻi. • Sunday May 29th, 9AM - 5PM (In-person) | Full Day of in-person Mushroom Cultivation Workshops - All day Sunday we will be practicing several hands-on, fun & easy gourmet & medicinal mushroom cultivation techniques using materials widely accessible on island!
