Description
1 year in Hydraulics is required minimum Safety First always PPE onsite always • Diagnose causes of malfunction of equipment from observations tests based on hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and assembly drawings. • Disassemble equipment to remove parts and effect repairs. • Examine any and all parts for general corrosion, defects, breakage or excessive wear whenever looking at specific reported issues on any unit. i.e. not just limited to the specific issue at hand. Take the opportunity to review overall general condition. • Install all parts according to instructions given, knowledge of unit being assembled and/or following drawings, as required, including needed adjustments and alignment. • Test run repaired equipment to ensure it works to full specification. • Operates drill presses, riveting machines, cranes & forklifts, etc, to assist in assembly operations. • Prepare hydraulic / pneumatic components, and install hoses, fittings & fluids into the unit. Follow hydraulic/ pneumatic schematics as required. • Assist in unit Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) as required. • Proficient in writing service reports and documenting procedures. • Always maintain a professional manner and communicate regularly and clearly with customers. • Identify parts as required including fabricated parts (assist with fabrication if needed and have the required competency skills.) • Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded, tidy & accurate manner, prepare all surfaces and components as necessary to ensure no damage occurs during assembly and testing. • Some electrical / electronic control experience preferred. • Able to read assembly diagrams and operational system schematics. • Good failure analysis and problem-solving skills. • Will travel and willing to work flexible hours as the job demands. • Proficient in computer skills including using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other electronic devices. • Understand verbal and written instructions. Ability to write cohesive maintenance and service reports. • Basic safety training skills. • Must pass a medical, hair drug and alcohol test. • Ability to lift 50 pounds. • Must have a current driver’s license. • Must have and keep a current TWIC card. Any ISTC or HAC active certifications are helpful. • Current OSHA Training Certifications are a plus.
