Allison Merritt Creates Joy with Artistic Handmade Holiday Cards

Create Joy is the name of a special cardmaking project conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic by teen Allison Merritt of Acworth.  When Allison's plans for a part time job were put on hold by the coronavirus, Allison decided to use her creativity and good will to make beautiful cards for individuals receiving end-of-life care from Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care and various other social service agencies and charities.  Merritt recently demonstrated her holiday cardmaking skills at Roswell Area Park.  Her cardmaking supplies included multicolored paper stock, glitter glue, rubber stamps, and embossing tools.   Community members who have heard about Allison's Create Joy card project have donated supplies.  With her thoughtfulness and kindness, Allison has encouraged so many during these tough times.  For additional information, see the Create Joy Facebook page.
