Create Beautiful Calligraffiti Work While Enjoying An Evening Outdoors! We all know how to text and type like experts, but have we lost the connection to cursive handwriting? Helen Murdock-Prep, a published author with three books currently available(Lettering Life: Calligraphic Inspirations, High Drama: a Novel, and Rainy Day Friend) will introduce you to Calligraphy, The Art of Beautiful Handwriting. Through the use of brush markers, students learn how to produce letterforms in the "Calligraffiti" style. Calligraffiti is a modern script in the Copperplate/Spencerian form. This bold, impressive hand will inspire you to get excited about handwriting again. All students finish at least one project using this remarkable letterform. No previous experience required. In this workshop, you will learn the skills to create hand-lettered Calligraffiti pieces of artwork. This skill is applicable to any area requiring lettering: addressing envelopes, decorating place cards, illuminating poetry and quotations on all surfaces. All students will leave the workshop with at least one complete project. *Please Note: Weather permitting, this class will be held outdoors. Tables and seating will provided. In case of inclement weather this class will be moved indoors and masks will then be required.
