“People are not disturbed by events, but rather by their judgments of the events.” (Epictetus)
Having difficulties in life is a given. But how we face those difficulties depends on us.
Research has shown that resilient people are able to bounce back stronger from setbacks and difficulties, instead of being crushed by them. This has a positive effect on general happiness.
In this presentation, we will explore 3 ideas from Stoic philosophy that can help us nurture resilience and mental toughness in our lives.
This presentation is an open class to the Living Philosophy course.
The course will begin on Thursday May 26th. Those who wish to register at the open class will be able to do so with an "early bird" discount.
Join us for a FREE talk about Stoic keys to resilience and well-being on Sunday May 15th, at 3 pm, at New Acropolis Chicago (4001 N. Ravenswood ave. suite 204B).
* This is an in-person talk.
