Please join us for a presentation from the Professional Education Foundation at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. PEF is a non-profit in Pakistan that offers financial support to students who have obtained university admission, but cannot afford to pay. Learn more at http://thepef.com Registration is free, and includes complimentary admission to the museum and parking! Feel free to spend time as much time at the museum, prior to our 3:30 PM start. Museum entrance tickets can be picked up at the main entrance. Tea, coffee, and light snacks will be served from 3:00 PM. Professional Education Foundation in Pakistan is one of the largest providers of scholarships to such undergrad professional students, who get admission to highly competitive professional institutions but can't afford to pay their fees. Starting with 75 students in 2010, PEF has educated in the past 12 years,1700 Alumni who became successful engineers and doctors earning decent salaries thereby, uplifting themselves and their whole families from abject poverty onto prosperous lives. In 2021 alone, PEF gave 1900 scholarships in the field of Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture, Computer Science & Business Administration. The economic impact on society has a great multiplier effect. What is the objective of this fundraiser? The Covid pandemic has increased the poverty level in Pakistan, resulting in a higher demand for scholarships for students from the underprivileged part of our society. It costs just US$ 500 per student per year. Through this fundraiser, we aim to increase awareness and raise funds for additional 40-50 students for the academic year 2021-22.
