Mild paced walk through the woods & talk & appreciate all the beautiful and weird fungi we find. We will meet at the Ledford Parking lot of Bent Creek at 10:00 am. We will try to leave the parking lot by 10:10. Bent Creek is the home to lots of wonderful fungi. As we walk, we will discuss the various ones we find. This is a mellow paced walk. This walk would be good for people who want to learn more about fungi and the role it plays in the forest. If you already know lots, please, come and share your knowledge with us! Fungi is a fascinating kingdom that there is still much to learn about. But together we can build our understanding! There will be handout on local edible fungi.
