The Dedham-Westwood Water District will begin flushing their distribution system in Westwood on Monday, May 9th. The flushing will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 am to 7 pm.
The tentative completion date is June 17th, at 3 pm. The flushing process may cause discolored water or a reduction in pressure. The discoloration will be temporary and is not harmful. If the condition persists, please call the Dedham-Westwood Water District at 781-329-7090 for further assistance. For additional information, please visit the DWWD website.
The flushing will take place throughout Westwood, beginning in the University Avenue area.
Beginning Monday, May 9th, the flushing will begin on University Ave. in Westwood (closest to Route 95 South). The crews will be working towards East Street and Route 1, including Canton Street and Blue Hill Drive and all adjacent streets to them. DWWD will continue to update this information as we work their way through the distribution system. If you have any questions, please call the District at 781-329-7090.
