Test your skills like the pros! This event features drills from the NFL Combine to prepare our athletes for sports at the next level. Combine Details:Check-in: 9:00 AM (Pre-Event huddle will be starting promptly at 9:40 AM. Please plan accordingly to account for parking as well as other athletes checking in). Athletes will receive a numbered sticker that must be worn throughout the day. Events to be measured: 40 yard dash20 yard shuttle3 cone drill (L-drill)Broad JumpVertical JumpPush-up Test.(Athletes will get 3-5 attempts at each event with the best score being recorded.) Attire: Cleats are not required, but highly recommended as all the events will be taking place on grass. Shorts and T-shirts are recommended clothing. No offensive gestures or profanity permitted. Nutrition: Water and snacks will be provided for every athlete. Eat a healthy breakfast the day of the event and proper caloric intake the day before is essential to optimal performance. Also, make sure to get adequate rest the night before. Exposure: Each athlete will have a profile created with our partners, Next College Student Athlete (NCSA). The NCSA allows recorded measurements to be stored and communicated to college coaches around the country. Creating a profile with the NCSA increases chances for athletes to find the right college athletic program in future recruiting efforts. Vendor Booths: Roar Youth will be selling raffle tickets as well as snacks to raise funds for Roar Church's Youth Group as well as Roar Athletics. Local companies will be sponsoring the event by promoting their services to the community with free give aways. Park Amenities: Lokker Park offers an array of amenities with 2 Playgrounds, Picnic tables, BBQ, Basketball court, Sand Volleyball court, Horseshoes, benches, walking paths, and shady trees. Please bring chairs and/or equipment if you plan to stay and enjoy the park. Come ready to have some fun!!
