Innovation Series 5: Current Lab In an effort to support the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region, The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce is pleased to partner with Innovate Newport to offer this 6-session BlueTech Innovation Series. During this spring 2022, the BlueTech Innovation Series brings together Rhode Island’s leading startup companies focused on “blue” technologies to network and showcase their cutting edge technologies. Each week, a different company will showcase their work, with time to network following their presentation. This week features Current Lab, a Rhode Island-based computational oceanography startup specializing in high-resolution forecasting of underwater currents and sound speed. Current Lab's ocean models have been trusted by teams at the world's top sailing events, from the America's Cup to the Tokyo Olympics.
