DELIVERY MATERIAL HANDLER/ WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST Beers Millwork is a family-owned, local supplier of custom and commodity doors, mouldings and hardware serving the greater Charleston area. As a Material Handler you will assist with the safe and accurate delivery of materials from the warehouse (located in Mount Pleasant) to each job site location. The role will require the unloading of orders according to customer specifications with the help of various equipment, at times a forklift may be required. As a Warehouse Specialist you will work cooperatively in a team to efficiently receive, verify, stage, stock, and load all material. Inventory controls will be vital for this role to ensure all materials are accounted for without any errors. You will be a utility player and have dual responsibilities performing tasks inside the warehouse as well as on the road. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Loading and unloading delivery vehicles Organize stock in the most efficient ways using forklifts, pallets, etc. Receive and check incoming pick tickets; pull materials to fulfill orders properly Deliver products in non-CDL required vehicles Check all loads for accuracy, ensuring they are thoroughly secured for delivery Provide warehouse support as needed Maintain accurate inventory counts Manually load and unload products on and off pallets and trucks Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards and correct, ordered amounts Organize stock in the most efficient ways using forklifts, pallets, etc. Receive and check incoming pick tickets; pull materials to fulfill orders properly Review appropriate paperwork for all outbound deliveries Stage and load material per provide Delivery Ticket Inspect forklift, truck and machines daily for proper compliance to operational and safety standards Assist with machine operator needs as assigned QUALFICATIONS Ability to repeatedly lift products weighing 75-150 lbs. (very physical position) Ability to stand, bend, twist and climb throughout your shift Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks) Must have reliable transportation to and from work Must have a valid Driver’s License with a good record Availability to work 5-6 days a week (days and times vary based on work) No Sundays Commitment to detail and accuracy Basic math skills Dexterity Strong verbal and written skills Strong customer service and teamwork skills
