Join Lisa Shockley, Curator of Collections at the Kansas City Museum for a conservation centered around two of the 1880s era bicycles in the Museum’s collection. In 1873, Leonard B. Gaylor began the Eagle Bicycle Manufacturing Company and secured a patent, the first of many, for innovations to the penny-farthing bicycle. Learn about his innovations and the excellent example on exhibit in Corinthian Hall.
