NEW YORK — Lottery officials have temporarily suspended payouts on Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing after the wrong Mega Ball number was announced.
The lottery cited "human error" for the rare mix-up.
Lottery officials said today that following the May 10, Mega Millions drawing, a mistake resulted in incorrect "input" of the winning numbers, resulting in an incorrect publishing of the winning Mega Ball number.
The New York Lottery said it is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, but officials have temporarily suspended prize payments for all Mega Millions tickets. All Mega Millions players should hold their tickets for the May 10, drawing until the issue is resolved.
The correct winning numbers for the May 10, drawing are: 15-19-20-61-70 with a Mega Ball number of 9.
