Description
BOSTON — A three-car crash and ensuing car fire on Interstate 93 temporarily closed all southbound lanes in Boston Wednesday afternoon.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said those lanes have since reopened, but are asking commuters to seek alternative routes as significant afternoon traffic delays will still linger.
Boston firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, State Police spokesman David Procopio said.
The scene was declared clear by MassDOT at 3:28 p.m., but delays will continue for a while.
No injuries were reported.
