One Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Columbia Road

BOSTON — Investigation is underway for an early-morning motorcycle crash in Dorchester, police say. A preliminary investigation revealed the driver went off the roadway while attempting a turn and struck a tree. Police say the crash happened around 3 a.m. on Columbia Road. The male driver was pronounced dead after being transported to Tufts Medical Center. Police have not yet released the identity of the driver. The road was blocked off for a while but has since reopened. Patch will update when we receive more information. No additional information was available.
