TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River police are seeking the public's help in identifying two people who were seen on surveillance video trying to burglarize a home in the North Dover section.
The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. on April 27, Toms River police said.
Video shows the two people trying to get into a home on Vincenzo Drive, but found the doors were locked. When they couldn't get into the home, police said, the two tried to get into cars at a neighbor's home. Those were locked as well, and the two left in a dark sports utility vehicle. See the videos below.
"Often suspects are recognized by factors other than an image of their face," police said in a post on the department's Facebook page. "Pay attention to shoes, clothing and mannerisms as they may assist in identification."
Anyone who can identify the two people is asked to contact Detective James Carey at 732-349-0150, ext. 1292 or at [email protected].
