Ellicott City, Md. (May 11, 2022)—The cybersecurity firm Huntress is partnering with the Westchester Innovation Network in New York to introduce a new hacker-detection feature. Huntress will roll out Process Insights, a feature that allows IT service providers to evict hackers faster with near real time endpoint detection and response. Huntress will partner with Progressive Computing in Yonkers, N.Y., to test Process Insights with small- and medium-sized business clients. "Small and midsized businesses represent 99% of firms in the US—and as their technology environments have become more complex, they've also become more vulnerable," said Dina Bruzek, Senior Vice President of Product and Engineering at Huntress. "We will partner with Progressive Computing to deliver a crucial underlying layer of security—one that combines automated detection with human threat hunters to analyze suspicious activity, detect hidden threats and stop attacks that would otherwise go unnoticed." The Westchester Innovation Network (WIN) focuses on embracing innovative new companies from Westchester County, N.Y., across the U.S. and internationally to learn from and co-create with them, and to advance key incentives necessary to get them to grow in Westchester County. The Business Council of Westchester launched the WIN program in December. "We are excited to collaborate with Huntress to introduce this new security feature to our clients, who are becoming increasingly concerned about hacker and ransomware attacks from abroad," said Robert Cioffi, chief operating officer and co-founder of Progressive Computing. The WIN program has identified 75 potential innovator partners looking to be paired locally to test a product or service. The process to match those innovators with businesses has begun. "The growth of our Innovation Match Program demonstrates how essential WIN will be for start-ups looking to partner with established institutions that can help them beta-test new ideas or expand customer bases," said Dr. Marsha Gordon, President and CEO of the Business Council of Westchester. Huntress protects small and mid-market businesses from modern cyberattackers. Founded by former NSA Cyber Operators—and backed by a team of 24/7 threat hunters—its managed security platform defends businesses from persistent footholds, ransomware and other attacks.
