NEW HAVEN, CT —A student at Bishop Woods School reported having seen another student with a BB gun Wednesday morning, according to New Haven Public Schools spokesperson Justin Harmon. Harmon said school staff "confiscated the unloaded weapon without incident." "There was no danger to students and staff, though the school was briefly on lockdown as a precaution," Harmon said. New Haven police responded to the school, he said. As of Wednesday early afternoon, "school has resumed as usual," Harmon said.
