Sanger was vice president and partner with Cargo Tech International Inc., which was working on rides at the amusement park, the news outlet reported.
Shane Smith, the company's president, told the outlet that Sanger was lowering the lift when the concrete platform gave way.
The lift was parked on top of concrete, and when Sanger went to lower and relocate the lift after finishing work on the Ferris wheel, the concrete collapsed, the report said.
Smith was not at the site when the accident happened, the report said, but was told by other crew members.
OSHA is currently investigating Sanger's death. Read More: OSHA Emphasizes Fall Safety After Tragic Gillian's Pier Death
