NAUGATUCK, CT — A 9mm pistol, three high-capacity magazines and 9mm ammunition were found by police during a search of a Naugatuck home last week, according to police. In a news release, police said officers executed a search-and-seizure warrant at a Walnut Street home Friday with assistance from Waterbury and state police. According to police, the search warrant resulted from a weeks-long investigation into Jeremy Andino, 27, who police believed illegally possessed a pistol. "Andino is a convicted felon," police said in a news release, "and, therefore, prohibited by law from possessing firearms." Andino, who was also wanted on an unrelated outstanding arrest warrant, was arrested at the residence, police said. He was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, improper transfer of a firearm, improper storage of a firearm, risk of injury to child, first-degree failure to appear and three counts of illegal possession of high capacity magazine. Andino was released on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to police.
