ANNAPOLIS, MD — Five local businesses failed a recent alcohol compliance check, according to the Annapolis Police Department. On April 11, police conducted a compliance check of liquor laws at 10 liquor retail establishments. According to police, seven establishments were found to be compliant, and three were cited for serving alcohol to a minor. The non-compliant establishments were issued an Alcohol Beverage Control Infraction Citation. Here are the businesses were checked and were in compliance: Acme Bar and Grill Anne Beth's Canton Restaurant Federal House Bar and Grill Mill's Fine Wine and Spirits Scott Brothers Walgreens Taylor Ave The following businesses were not in compliance: Annapolis Waterfront Hotel/Pusser's Boatyard Bar and Grill Galway Bay On April 25, police conducted another compliance check at 12 establishments. Ten establishments were found to be compliant, and two were cited for serving alcohol to a minor. The non-compliant establishments were issued an alcohol beverage control infraction citation. The following businesses were checked and were in compliance: 49 West St. Buddy's Crabs and Ribs Chick & Ruths' Deli Dry 85 McGarvey's Saloon & Oyster Bar O'brien's Restaurant Rams Head Tavern Red Red Wine Bar Stan and Joe's Tsunami The following businesses were not in compliance: Iron Rooster Middleton's Tavern Police said the operation was funded through a grant from Anne Arundel County focusing on preventing or reducing underage drinking, youth binge drinking and/or alcohol related crashes.
