DARIEN, CT — Come out to Dunlap & Selleck's Woods in Darien on May 15 for Adventure Day!
This event, which has time slots between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., is geared towards families with children aged 2-10 years old, but all are welcome.
Children can test their forest skills in the ever-popular Adventureland with a rope bridge, stump walk and a zipline under the canopy of trees. There will also a be a Gnome & Fairy Village.
Naturalists and representatives from the Darien Nature Center and Darien Land Trust will sponsor multiple, hands-on activity stations throughout the woods to engage children in various aspects of the environment and the importance of conservation. Children can enjoy arts & crafts projects, a free raffle, music and an ice cream truck.
Pre-registration is required, and can be done here for the 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. slot, or here for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $35 per car; donations will benefit the Darien Land Trust and Friends of Selleck's Woods to help with the cost of ongoing maintenance.
