Here are the top three stories in Charleston today: The City of North Charleston and the City of Charleston have suspended their COVID-19 vaccination mandates after Governor Henry McMaster signed a ban on such mandates into law. The cities indicate that there might be an increase in employment applications in response to the suspended vaccination mandates. (Live 5 News WCSC)The Charleston Police Department has released surveillance photos of a suspect in a hit-and-run investigation. As of Wednesday evening, the department is still seeking the community's help in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information related to the investigation should call or email Charleston Investigator Galster. (Live 5 News WCSC)The City of Charleston will resume enforcing its ordinance ban on sandwich boards on sidewalks. The ban was temporarily lifted during the COVID-19 pandemic to allow restaurants to attempt to increase business through sidewalk advertisement. The sandwich boards prevent sidewalks from being accessible and usable by those with disabilities, which violates the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
