COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — Collingswood is on the list of USA Today's candidates for "best small town cultural scene." The media network is gathering votes for a number of top 10 lists; for best small town cultural scene, each town on the list has fewer than 25,000 people. So, how does USA Today describe these towns? "What each lacks in size it makes up for in culture – museums, art galleries, performing arts, and plenty of events." A panel of experts put the lists together. The experts noted Collingswood's history and the Stokes-Lee Mansion, as well as Harleigh Cemetery and the "incredible roster of local and national acts" at the Scottish Rite Theater. The voting page is available here. People may vote once a day until Monday, June 6 at noon. The 10 winning towns will be revealed Friday, June 17.
