From the City of West Palm Beach: October 29, 2020 During the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of West Palm Beach is committed to keeping residents informed of assistance available to them, in addition to City programs and services. The Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County (ELC), has notified the City about its "School-Age Scholarship." Funded by Palm Beach County's Youth Services Department, the scholarships are available to families whose child(ren) are in grades K-5 and currently enrolled in Palm Beach County School District's distance learning program. Scholarships are available to students whose parents work or attend school, are homeless or live with an income at or below 200% of federal poverty level. To qualify, applicants must submit documentation supporting the criteria, examples of which include: Current paystub Verification of employment statement Written statement from employer School enrollment Class registration Additionally, documents relating to residency, citizenship and child's age will be solicited.
