Congregations Acting for Justice and Empowerment will hold its annual Nehemiah to raise awareness of community problems.
CAJE is calling for action on four issues: affordable housing, mental health care, gun violence, and energy bills.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at Old National Events Plaza. Doors open at 5:30.
More than 1,000 members of the group, other concerned residents, and community leaders are expected to attend.
CAJE says the goal is to seek commitments from public officials to adopt "reasonable and well-crafted solutions" to problems that plague the greater-Evansville area.
