Tonight at 10 pm, the waxing gibbous moon is visible to the South in the constellation of Leo the Lion. The distinctive Copernicus crater will be visible with binoculars near the terminator, or the line between day and night on the Moon. The central peak of Copernicus is approximately three-quarters of a mile high (1.2km) from the floor of the crater basin.
