2 Injured In Livermore Helicopter Crash

LIVERMORE, CA — Minor injuries were reported after a helicopter crash Wednesday morning in Livermore. The crash happened off National Drive just before 10 a.m. The contractor helicopter performing training went down in a PG&E-owned parking lot adjacent to training poles for the PG&E Livermore Electric Safety Academy, PG&E spokesperson Tamar Sarkissian said. Two people were inside the helicopter when it crashed, Sarkissian said. Both were transported to area hospitals. The helicopter was a Bell 407. No property damage was reported. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating. The NTSB will be leading the investigation. Bay City News contributed to this report.
