OLD BETHPAGE, NY – The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze at Old Bethpage Village Restoration has been extended through Nov. 8 due to overwhelming demand. The event was originally scheduled to close on Nov. 1, but it will now continue on Nov. 4 through Nov. 8. Admission is by advance timed tickets only. "We're thrilled to extend this extraordinary experience and provide a safe and spooky way to celebrate the Halloween season right here in Nassau County," said Nassau County Executive Laura Curran in the announcement. "The outpouring of interest and success of Blaze really is incredible and a testament to the had work of my team and Historic Hudson Valley." The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze is a walk-through experience that features more than 7,000 hand-carved jack o'lanterns, lit up throughout Old Bethpage Village Restoration. A small team of artists have carved the pumpkins, as well as elaborate pumpkin sculptures, including a large display of the Montauk Lighthouse. Blaze takes place entirely outdoors, is touch-free, uses timed admission, and features a one-way walkthrough path with no places to congregate. All visitors and staff must wear a mask when on site.
