Job Description Residential Home remodel and New home build company is looking to add a Hardscape/Masonry Professional to our team. This role is physical and on site, providing masonry and hardscape services to customers of Nelsons Construction. The role requires a motivated self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to have great attention to detail and deadlines. Job Responsibilities • Perform skilled masonry work including building, altering and repairing structures. • Oversee and direct the operations of all hardscape activities from start to finish. • Promote job site safety, demonstrate and encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately. • Assist in building and positioning forms for pouring concrete and dismantles forms after • Use, using saws, hammers, nails, bolts, or form hardware. • Dig ditches and levels earth to grade specifications, using pick, shovels, and rakes. • Grade dirt and concrete efficiently and accurately. • Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures. • Mix concrete and mortar. • Install and tie rebar and wire mesh. • Moving items from place to place, according to direction from the site supervisor • Moving dirt or other material as directed in plans or by supervisor • Stocking block and brick • Clean up of masonry on the site • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs Key Skills • Read blueprints or other specifications to determine methods of installation, work procedures, or material or tool requirements. • Experience in proper operation of a variety of power hand tools • Attention to detail and desire for quality work Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: • Minimum of 1-year experience • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, and background check • Must have own tools • Ability to work as a team member • Reliable means of transportation • High School Diploma GED or Equivalent Benefits after 90 Days: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • 401k • 3 Weeks PTO • $250 Referral Program after 90 days of employment Schedule: • Monday to Saturday • Overtime after 40hrs • Work times can vary from 8,10,12 shifts per day depending on job load Work Location: • Multiple Locations throughout Twin Cities and surrounding areas
