Seeking Full-Time Shipping and Production Assistant CakeSafe, LLC. is a small, family run manufacturing company located in Peace Dale, RI. CakeSafe manufactures and designs innovative tools for bakers and chocolatiers around the world. This position is a full time position. This position provides support to our production and shipping departments and is an opportunity to help us grow and maintain our standards of quality and readiness to the meet the increasing demand for our products. As a member of the production and shipping teams there will be many opportunities to learn and grow within our company. This is a small company that enjoys teaching and learning from each other and we strive to produce a high quality product and work environment for everyone. You’ll have exposure to a Laser Table, CNC tables, the graphic design programs used to create products and run the tables, and an opportunity to learn all aspects of our manufacturing procedures. We recently won the Small Business award for Manufacturer of the Year in both Rhode Island and all of New England. The role of the Shipping and Production Assistant includes, but is not limited to, the following: Duties and Responsibilities: Safely and thoughtfully packaging online and Amazon orders to be shipped to customers Daily assessment of products needed for the days orders and products needed to restock Scheduling and planning of daily production runs Manufacturing products using power tools Running of computerized production equipment (CNC machines and a laser machine, experience not required) Organization of workshop area and production equipment Maintenance of shop area, tools and equipment Qualifications: Prior experience working with tools and small power equipment a plus, but not mandatory Hand dexterity and/or good hand coordination The ability to learn and retain work procedures Demonstrates above average proficiency in the use of computers and computer software Strong interpersonal skills Attention to detail and care when manufacturing products A good sense of humor is a plus Schedule and Pay: CakeSafe offers a competitive pay.
