I love this crap. So you're having a party and you're too cheap to hire a band so you put up a listing looking for free music and the payback is that they will get great exposure and a burger. Are you having record execs there? Bar owners? TV personalities? At least one person that might hire the band down the road? NOT A CHANCE! I tell you what. You should do whatever it is you do for a living and spend your holiday at some strangers house and do it for free. How about that? Musicians spend thousands of dollars and thousands of hours to do what they do. You want them to load their gear, come to your house, drag it all to your back yard that probably has several obstacles in the way, set everything up, play for several hours, take it down, load it back up, take it home and unload it, and put it away not to mention the cost of gas for free? What happens if some kid pushes an amp in your pool? You going to pay for that? Stop being a cheapskate and up a couple hundred bucks and PAY a band. If you can afford a pool, you can afford a band.
