I've been playing guitar for a long time in many various situations (bands, orchestras, duos, improv, church, plays....). I currently play in a band that I started that plays out maybe 4-5 times a year and we only do about 25 songs (we play smaller places/restaurants, etc.). I'm looking a bit more with some really nice people to play out once in a while (~once a month). I play rhythm and lead, can sing backup or sing lead on a song or two. Have all pro equipment and no drama, drugs, issues. I've answered several ads on here but many are looking to play out too often and want me to learn 50+ of their songs and practice twice a week for no guarantee nor gigs on the books. Understandable, but I'm looking something more collaborative and maybe less of a hurdle to cross, list of easy songs, practice less, play more often. I've learned 50 songs in the past several times only for it to fall apart before ever playing out, or never get gigs, or lead singer quits half way through and new singer can't sing the same songs. I know it is a long shot but would love to hear from someone. I live east of Raleigh so looking something based in Raleigh area and east where possible. Open to any style of music, willing to play rhythm or lead, no ego, not trying to make it in music industry, have family that takes precedence. Cheers.
