An opportunity to work at a funnest outdoor event in the summer. Salsa & Bachata Dance on Alki Beach, 13th year in the making, 7 events this summer. Sat. 6/25, 7/9 (Sun. 7/17) Sat. 7/30, 8/13, 8/27, 9/3 Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age or older. (Strong Male or female prefer.) Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent). Employee must successfully complete a background/pre-employment drug/alcohol test Be professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion. Able to work overtime as needed. Security: 3 Openings Duties Include: Verify wristbands from all dancers through out the night, direct traffic coming in and out of the to the ticket booth/dance floor. Keep non dancers/kids from running or walking across the dance floor during the event. Break up fight or keep individual off of dance floor as needed. Initiates a genuine, friendly, and personal greeting to our guests as they arrive at your facility entrance. Making sure there is no dancing off there dance floor at all, no alcohol or smoking of any kind on or near dance floor. Provides guests with helpful directions and/or suggestions that will enhance their dance experience. Interactions with guests include a smile and the use of a natural speaking voice, including natural inflection and a friendly tone. Compensation Security only $25hr 4hr 6-10pm Event set up & break down: 2 Openings Clean dance floor area, unload equipment from pick up truck, laying dance floors down, sounds system. lighting, For break down, clear dance floor, pick up trash, roll up dance floor, pack up all equipment, load up in truck. Compensation Security plus event set up & break down $30hr ~4hrs (add security hrs @ $25hr) ~ 9hrs total 2:30pm-11:30pm
