Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On Tarpon Avenue

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — A motorcyclist has died following a crash Wednesday night on Tarpon Avenue. Around 6:30 p.m., the Tarpon Springs Police and Fire departments responded to a crash on Tarpon Avenue west of U.S. 19 involving a Chevrolet pickup truck and a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The operator of the motorcycle struck the side of the truck as it was making a left turn into the Walmart at 41232 U.S. 19. The rider of the motorcycle was not wearing helmet and suffered serious injuries. He was transported to Trinity hospital where he died. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was transported, treated and released from AdventHealth North Pinellas. The names of those involved have not been released.
