Meet Kylo and Rey! We adopted this brother/sister duo in late 2019 as young kitties (not quite kittens). From what we know, they were basically barn cats prior to coming to our home. We also have a very high energy Boxer who absolutely cannot leave the cats alone, which unfortunately results in the cats living in our finished basement. While they have lots of space, food, toys, etc. it has become increasingly clear that they are just not happy living segregated from the rest of the family. They meow at the door almost constantly asking to come upstairs, but the moment they do our dog is tormenting them. It’s a vicious cycle. As experienced pet owners, we feel they would be better in a home where they can roam free, possibly even as indoor/outdoor cats (they both have their claws).
