Let's explore the McKenzie River Trail and discover the beautiful turquoise waters of “Blue Pool”. (Información en español disponible bajo este contenido en inglés) This popular section of the McKenzie River National Trail leads to the stunning turquoise Tamolitch pool, also known as Blue Pool. Located about 50 miles east from Eugene (150 miles southeast of Portland). To reach Blue Pool, we will be hiking about 3.5 miles through an old growth forest to a dried river bed which leads to the lava covered river. This hike will take about an hour to reach the pool and then follow the same trail back along the McKenzie River. Join us on May 28th for this adventure and let's visit this unique place in Oregon and let's enjoy the landscape of this natural wonder. El popular sendero del río McKenzie nos conduce a la impresionante piscina color turquesa, también conocida como Blue Pool. Localizada unas 50 millas al este de Eugene (150 millas al sureste de Portland), el flujo de agua de las Tamolitch Falls generalmente se ve solo en primavera, pero la piscina es alimentada por manantiales subterráneos todo el año. Para llegar a esta belleza natural es necesario recorrer un sendero a pie donde se disfruta la vista desde el acantilado del río McKenzie. Este sendero de aproximadamente de 3.5 millas es considerado nivel moderado y se recomienda vestir calzado de hiking. El sendero se encuentra en buen estado y es apropiado para todos los grupos de edad.
