R.E.S.T. is a training ground for those interested in learning more and leaning into the effects of injustices and inequities. Through information-collaboration-activation, participants will learn and build best practices with a long-term goal of building a blueprint for the transformational change needed to build an antiracist Hampton Roads. This year’s conference theme is "Journey to Reconciliation" and is focused on the historical perspective of racism in HR and what we can do to move the needle towards racial reconciliation and healing! Participants will hear a keynote address from renowned historian and NSU professor, Dr. Cassandra Newby-Alexander, engage in action-building panel discussions and workshops, enjoy a celebratory cookout style luncheon, take a journey to reconciliation walk and pledge to stand against racism, and much more! Equity pricing: To allow for all community members to access this transformational event, conference registration is pay what you can, with a $100.00 suggested amount per person.
