Meet the Artists: Clay Rose is the lead singer and songwriter for Boulder-based bands Gasoline Lollipops and The Widow’s Bane. Although his career as a band leader has spanned a decade, his solo songwriting career began in 1997. He has written and released 10 all-original albums to date. Rose’s ability to tell stories that seamlessly cross genres from folk to punk to klezmer to country has won him an array of awards. These include the 105.5 The Colorado Sound’s Best Local Band award for 2021 and 2022; Best Country Band Award, by Westword Magazine in 2015 and 2018; and the Colorado Daily Best Local Band award for 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2020, Rose released Gasoline Lollipops’ sixth album, All The Misery Money Can Buy, at Red Rocks Amphitheatre to national critical acclaim. In 2018, Wonderbound Ballet Company in Denver commissioned Rose to write a full-length ballet using all-original music written for his other band, The Widow’s Bane. The following year, Wonderbound commissioned a second full-length ballet set to the music of Gasoline Lollipops and entitled The Sandman. Wonderbound will be opening their 2023 season with a reprise of The Sandman. Rose is currently wrapping up a new Gasoline Lollipops LP entitled Nightmares, to be released in the fall of 2022. Rose is also working with acclaimed Colorado playwright Doug Vincent to revise and recreate his award-winning one-man play, Grace, which they will be touring coast to coast in the late fall. The play strongly features Rose’s solo music. In addition, Rose is in pre-production of his first full-length solo album to be recorded with Octave Records in Boulder, CO, in the next year. For more information on Rose, visit the Gasoline Lollipops. Ned Warner grew up in New York City, which might help to explain why he moved to Colorado with stars in his eyes, instead of doing things the other way around. In recent years, Warner's style has cemented into something close to identifiable; one part traditional Americana, one part indie folk, a dash bitters, and all good. Stream his latest album, "Worn Open," on Apple Music and Spotify. Judah Arrington is a singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. Drawing from a wide range of influences, his sound spans over jazz, soul, R&B, blues, bossa nova, folk, and African music. A self-proclaimed crooner, Arrington’s music draws the listener in with a romantic and jazzy style. Arrington moved to Leadville in 2016 and has been living on and off in the mountains ever since. He’ll be sharing music from his debut album, currently in the process of being recorded. Check out his music on SoundCloud. Tickets are nonrefundable. Children 5 and under and infants will be free with one purchased adult ticket.
