Please join your yacht club peers to share best practices on sustainable policies on and off the water! What, Where, When: Sustainable Marblehead and Sailors for the Sea will present an informative, inspiring, and practical Marblehead harbor community workshop on sustainable practices and ocean conservation at the Corinthian Yacht Club on Saturday, May 14, from 9:00-1100am. Who should attend? Individuals, green teams, sustainability committees, flag leadership, and general managers from area yacht clubs including Boston, Corinthian, Dolphin, Eastern, Marblehead, and Pleon. Agenda A keynote presentation by marine biologist Dr. Shelley Brown, Executive Director, Sailors for the Sea highlighting lessons learned from the New Zealand-based Clean Clubs program will be followed by breakout discussions on key topics such as reducing single use plastic, green boating practices, clean regattas, composting, and more. Benefits Participants will learn about marine sustainability best practices locally and globally, meet local and regional practitioners at every stage—from beginners to advanced—and leave with practical guides and checklists for boaters, clubs, and regattas. The workshop is free.
