Hi, we’re the Jasmine Market, and we are excited to announce our 1st market for AAPI month on Saturday, May 28th, 12-4 PM! All of the hosts have had fond memories of jasmine rice nourishing their families growing up. They witnessed and tasted how it has carried tradition, flavors, and lifelines, so it was a seamless decision to center this market's theme on jasmine rice🍚 No matter what Asian cuisine you eat, you know for sure there's going to be rice. Rice not only serves as the focal point for most Asian dishes but also has the power to bring community together. Just like how our families showed us what it means to form connections, we invite you to join us at the Jasmine Market on Saturday, May 28th for Memorial Weekend! We will celebrate how Asian Americans came together with food, drinks, art, & performances prepared by our AAPI vendors. You don't want to miss this family party! We’ll be announcing more vendors soon, so stay tuned! Meet the Hosts:Homegrown from San Jose and Oakland, Hot Boi Chili Oil brings the garlicky crunch to their spice-infused chili oil. They've started the brand as a way to share their passion for cooking and advocacy for their respective communities. A piece of advice for young entrepreneurs: "Listen to your gut and your heart. Trifecta Cooks is a Japanese catering company based in Silicon Valley. We specialize in the Omakase dining experience. For beginner entrepreneurs have a plan, prepare for the worst, take care of your employees, establish a great relationship with guests, be able to adapt to any situation, don’t sell yourself short, give back to the community, and surround yourself with successful people and have fun. The Boba Plug is a boba pop-up concept based out of Dallas, TX making creative Asian American-inspired drinks you’ve never seen before in the Bay Area. We are focused on highlighting small businesses and creatives and connecting with all walks of life. We’re bringing on the 3rd wave of boba tea 🧋
