AIA Northern Indiana May Program - Transforming Downtown Hammond Join members, sponsors and friends of AIA Northern Indiana as Ann Anderson, Director of Economic Development for the City of Hammond, presents the city's transit-oriented master plan, describing key features and recommendations in detail. This plan was developed by Jeff Speck, city planner, writer, and lecturer and principal at the urban design and consultancy firm, Speck & Associates. Zimmerman/Volk Associates will also present a recent housing market study, focusing on introducing a critical mass of new residents that will help bring downtown Hammond back to life. This 60 minute presentation will be followed by a 30 minute walking tour of the progress already underway. Lunch will be served during the presentation. Because most members are in the Eastern Time Zone this program will begin at 12:30 pm EST. This presentation has been submitted for 1 AIA LU.
