TAMPA, FLA – Tampa Police were working Monday to develop leads in an investigation into the shooting death of a man who was discovered dead in Tampa on Monday morning. Police still had very few details Monday afternoon after officers were called to the area of North 18th Street and East 19th Avenue following a report of shots heard just before 11:30 a.m. Officers arrived at the location to find a man who had been shot and who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said in a news release on Monday. Police said they would release more details as they became available but anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at (800) 873-TIPS.
