D1 Training Mooresville is opening it's doors to the community on Memorial Day for the Murph Challenge!
Come join us at D1 Training on Monday, May 30th and help support our fallen heroes and their families by competing in the 'Murph' Challenge. In order to participate, all we ask is that you donate to the fund. It doesn't matter if you donate $1 or $100, every little bit helps! We will also have a Mini 'Murph' Challenge for anyone that wants something a little less intense.
The Murph Challenge is named after Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who was killed in Afghanistan June 28, 2005. He was 29, of Patchogue, N.Y. Lt Murphy was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor after his death.
The workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it ‘Body Armor.’ It first appeared on the CrossFit site in August 2005.
