How can you ensure at least people you serve stay housed forever, especially if they have higher acuity?
Building on more than two decades of research, practice and evaluation, this workshop will walk participants through the essential tasks and important practices that will increase housing retention, while also lowering the household’s acuity and improving their quality of life. The training supports a low-barrier, trauma-informed, recovery orientation approach to supporting people in housing. We will discuss the role of the case manager, theory behind a recovery orientation approach, practical organizational and operational tools, and strategic crisis and exit planning with housing participants. This training is appropriate for anyone providing Rapid Re-Housing, Permanent Supportive Housing, or other supportive housing programming. Participants will be emailed a copy of the training presentation and housing workbook following the training.
