Chamber music in East Greenwich: string quartet, flute, horn, and mezzo-soprano Errolyn Wallen (b. 1958), The Negro Speaks of Rivers, based on a poem by Langston Hughes Arthur Foote (1853-1937), A Night Piece George Masso (1926-2019), June Dance Gioacchino Rossini (1792-1868), Duetto Douglas Hill (b. 1946), A Place for Hawks Mary Phillips, mezzo; Anthony Trionfo, flute; Kevin Owen, French horn; Anton Miller, Kristen Pellegrino, violins; Rita Porfiris, viola; Elisa Kohanski, Trevor Handy, cellos; John M. Pellegrino, bass The one-hour concert is presented without intermission. Students admitted free with I.D. COVID SAFETY Update: May 9, 2022 We are monitoring rising Covid hospitalizations to set guidelines to protect our audience and musicians, as many are vulnerable. For our indoor concerts, masks are required for all, regardless of vaccination status. Singers and wind/brass players may remove their masks during performance. If conditions improve, we will adjust this guideline. Thank you for your support in keeping our community safe. Our host churches are large, well-ventilated spaces, suitable for distanced seating. We expect audience capacity of 50%. Concerts are one hour, without intermission.
