Loeb House, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit agency that provides transitional housing with the goal of re-integrating clients back into the community. We service adults who live with a serious mental illness and/or addiction. Loeb House is currently looking for per diem staff and Residence Counselors for the following positions: Full-time 40 hours (Pomona, NY): Tuesday – Saturday 3 PM – 11 PM Part-time 22 hours (Pomona): Saturday 8 AM - 2 PM, Sunday 12 PM – 8 PM, Monday 3 PM – 11 PM Part-time 26 hours (Wesley Hills, NY): Sunday and Monday 3 PM – 11 PM Tuesday and Wednesday 6 PM – 11 PM Part-time 16 hours:Sunday and Monday 11PM – 7 AM Part-time 5 hours (West Nyack, NY): Saturday 6 PM – 11 PM A Residence Counselor is responsible for the supervision of consumers in a Congregate Treatment Residence program serving adults living with behavioral health issues, including mental illness and/or chemical addiction. Responsible for the safety of consumers, cleanliness of the residence, providing and documenting weekly restorative services, meeting with treatment teams and other outside professionals, conducting medication counts and other paperwork as required. Job Qualifications: • High School Diploma or the equivalent. Preferably some college courses and/or one (1) year experience in human services, preferably with mentally ill and chemically addicted individuals. • Ability to read and interpret documents in English with ability to complete written documentation and perform mathematical calculations. Ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) with clients and co-workers. • Valid driver's license is required.
